The ghagra glitters with three red borders, showing the finest blend of Naqshi, Saadi and Zardozi hand-embroidered in complex floral booties, decorated with stones, sequins, tamba tikkis and a touch of red Resham. The head veil had delicate jaali and cut-work, while the detachable trail was an 80-inch Zardozi marvel. For her Vidaai, Radhika Merchant wore an outfit designed by phenomenal designer Manish Malhotra. She looked amazing in a sunset-hued multi-paneled Banarasi brocade lehenga for her vidaai. For her first evening as Mrs Radhika Ambani, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla collaborated with modern Indian artist and sculptor Jayasri Burman and Rhea Kapoor to make a unique outfit for the bride.The lehenga had 12 hand-painted panels on a special Italian canvas, bringing Jayashri’s painting to life.
To represent Anant and Radhika’s union, the artwork depicted celestial aura human figures and Anant’s fondness for elephants that are considered auspicious.
